Tennis OPEN 500
Valencia enters the Tennis Open 500 full force between 2nd
an 8th of November.
The touranment will take place inside the Ágora building
with its 6,500 capacity and on a fast surface court.
Parallel events where sports, music and fashion will go hand
in hand will be held throughout the Valencia Open 500. There
will be two night sessions where the public can enjoy the
best tennis, unique dining and nightlife areas to be installed
in other parts of the City of Arts and Science.

Equestrian - Global Champions tour
The equestrian world arrived in Valencia this May (2009) with
the Global Champions Tour. The city will host the Grand Prix
of Spain until 2011, with possibities of an extension until
2013.
Between the 8th and 10th of May the best riders in equestrian
arrived at the City of Arts and Sciences, where the arena
was set in one of the lake areas of hte ScienceMuseum.
The River Turai gardens became the Horse Gardens,
a site for the boxes aswell as a leisure area.
The event and Valencia was projected to 116million homes across
the planet via the Eurosport TV channel.

THE RETURNING EVENTS....
European Formula 1 Grand Prix
Valencia will host the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe until
2014. The streets surrounding the port and the beaches have
been converted into an urban circuit with a capacity for 100,000
spectators, on land and sea, propelling the city to international
fame as the host of the most
prestigious motor competition on the planet.
The 5km long track is 14m wide and was designed by German
architect Herman Tilke.
From the 21 to 23 August 2009 we will experience the passion
of Formula 1 in the Telefónica Grand Prix of Europe
in Valencia. Three exhilarating days that will kick off with
a free practice session, continue with the official practice
and qualifying round, and end with the Grand Prix of Europe.
The Valencia Street Circuit has a superb set-up; the port
of Valencia, and is designed to ensure the safety of drivers,
as well as the enjoyment and fun of the fans.

Motorbike Grand Prix
Valencia Motorcycle fans also flock to Valencia for the annual
Motorcycle Racing Grand Prix at the Ricardo Tormo Racetrack.
The Valencia circuit also hosts other important events each
year such as the Superbike, Turismos and GP2 Series championships.

And on the beach during July....
The Las Arenas area of the beach becomes a stadium for various
sporting events during the month of July.
The atmosphere is almost as hot as the weather as teams from
all over the world compete in the various competitions, with
lively music, free sponsors gifts and even a "cold water
sprayer" to stop you over heating.
